Microsoft Corporation Senior Technical Program Manager in Phoenix, Arizona

Microsoft’s Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers our cloud services. As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will perform a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform.

  • This role is located either in one or all hub locations - Atlanta, GA, Washington, D.C., Redmond, WA, San Antonio, TX or Phoenix, AZ.

  • Relocation support will be provided, and successful candidates must ​relocate or reside within 50 miles of the hub office location.

  • This role is eligible for hybrid or remote work, up to 50%.

Responsibilities

  • Manage requirements definition, delivery and coordination: Partner with cross-functional teams to drive define data center requirements and get consensus with partner teams prior to design activities.

  • Influence and communicate: Lead executive-level meetings to communicate data center requirements changes, justifications, and timelines.

  • Represent your team in learning and growth pillar for CTO organization.

  • Drive content creation with learning and development team for our organization.

  • Define requirement management flows, process and tool selection needed for efficient management.

  • Drive Monthly Business Review content and meetings.

  • Drive brainstorming sessions for various technical teams in the organization.

  • Manage team’s work in Azure Dev Ops

  • Embody our culture and values .

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, or product development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

  • 3+ years of experience working as a program manager.

  • Experience in working with systems engineering, hardware engineering teams, software engineering teams or data science teams.

  • 4+ years of experience with MS Office Tools

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: 

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years’ experience with industry program and project management skills

  • 4+ years’ experience working with collaboration platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Microsoft Teams etc.)

  • 4+ years’ experience with reporting and data analysis systems & platforms (e.g., PowerBI, Azure Dev Ops)

Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
