What You Will Do:

  • Engage stakeholders to drive a data culture transformation, ensuring everyone's involvement in governing data as a valued asset.

  • Lead an Interiors data governance council, fostering clear accountability and ownership of data assets and facilitating the development of policies and processes.

  • Establish a strategic roadmap prioritizing foundational data and I4.0 capabilities for the Interiors data governance program.

  • Establish and maintain a robust data governance framework, ensuring consistent data quality and security across business, functional, and site levels.

  • Collaborate with Data Architects to implement data architecture supporting governance policies and business requirements.

  • Oversee data quality initiatives, identifying and rectifying data inaccuracies to maintain high standards.

  • Partner with Collins DG team to ensure proper tagging and documentation of data assets, supporting quality and compliance efforts.

  • Standardize common data elements across analytical product lines, ensuring representation in the data catalog.

  • Deliver training programs to promote data governance awareness and best practices while establishing metrics and reporting mechanisms to monitor effectiveness.

  • Collaborate with business, functional, and site leads to communicate process changes related to MDM through change management communications.

  • Create and manage Semantic data Mapping (Data Catalog Lineage), business glossary Term Definitions, common data model, catalog Datasets, Data Sources, dashboards, points of Contact for data assets, and data catalog fields aligned with Business Terms.

  • Implement metrics and reporting systems to track the effectiveness of data governance, delivering regular updates to senior leadership.

  • Business travel up to 25% domestic or international as need

What You Will Learn:

  • Strategic Roadmap Development for Data Governance: Creating a strategic roadmap prioritizes data governance initiatives, aligning them with organizational goals and technology.

  • Metrics and Reporting for Monitoring Effectiveness: Using metrics and reporting tracks data governance effectiveness, informing senior leadership regularly.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 8 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience

  • Experience with Master Data Management & Data Governance Tools and practices, specifically Informatica OR Immuta

  • Experience in data/ BI analytics, large-scale database technologies, data ingestion, processing, cloud-based infrastructure platforms such as, but not limited to, AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Ignition, Tableau, Data Bricks

  • Experience with data analysis tools including but not limited to Tableau, Qlik, and PowerBI

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience with data governance frameworks, data quality management, data cleansing, data cataloging, data tagging

  • Knowledge of master data management strategies related to large-scale enterprise datasets. .

  • Knowledge of data architecture and technology solutions risks

  • Applied experience principles with project management, Agile principles, and Scrum framework

  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, GitHub

  • ERP experience

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
