As a CBRE Vendor Relations Consultant, you'll be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, contracting and managing service providers for outsourced services to support the Project Management Team. You will also work with the client, internal stakeholders and the department in the development and execution of sourcing and procurement strategies. You will have a high-level of engagement between stakeholders, service providers and the department leadership throughout the execution of your work.
Qualified candidates must have direct experience working for or with General Contractors.
A legal background or extensive experience in drafting contracts is highly desirable. This position will primarily interface with General Contractors, Architects, FF&E and Material Suppliers. Experience in Construction Project Delivery and directly managing Vendors executing the work is preferred. This role will also be responsible for working with internal stakeholders to develop an effective Sourcing Strategy to ensure proper Vendor coverage and resourcing.
What You’ll Do:
As a Vendor Relations Consultant, you will support the Project Management Team with development and execution of work related to design and retail construction projects.
Work with business stakeholders, operational shared services team members, and sponsors to develop, coordinate, and execute strategy at Account level. You must be very well organized and have strong communication skills, while holding yourself and others accountable for deliverables and outcomes.
Plan and install national contracting and procurement strategies. Prepare and maintain contracts with national service providers by company standards. Build relationships with suppliers and contractors.
Create and manage RFPs, selecting solutions, and negotiating. Prepare and maintain contracts with national and regional service providers. Ensure contracts adhere to company and Client standards.
Draft, review, negotiate, and maintain contracts and other business documents in support of the purchase of goods and services. at a mid to senior level.
Review the process of contract terminations, expirations, extensions, and renewals. Inform peers and management staff of changes or results.
Manage supplier and contractor certification process. This includes legal and organizational structure, financial viability, geographic coverage, and insurance requirements.
Perform vendor management activities to measure performance to ensure optimal value is achieved.
Support national sourcing processes and practices with internal stakeholders. Coordinate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, and customers.
Provide clients with innovative technologies, products, and services to generate value and stay ahead of the competition.
What You’ll Need:
Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
Experience with standard contract terms and conditions for General Contractors and Design Consultants is required.
Experience with Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

Preffered Experience:
Certified Paralegal or equivalent experience is preferred.
C.P.M., C.P.S.M. or N.A.C.M. certifications or eligibility preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment while leading multiple initiatives in varying stages.
Experience in Construction Project Delivery and directly managing Vendors executing the work is preferred. Retail Construction or Financial/Professional Services Sector experience is beneficial.
Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
CBRE Carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for this Vendor Relations Consultant position is $110,000 annually and the maximum salary for this position is $120,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
