Responsibilities

Our Department is seeking a Research Program Manager of the Neuromodulation Program. This position works collaboratively with the Director of the Barrow Brain Tumor Research Center (BBTRC) to manage program finances, implement clinical trials, facilitate research and academic collaborations, secure extramural funding and philanthropy, coordinate patient outreach and navigation activities, and coordinate inter-disciplinary patient care initiatives. Established in 2010, the Barrow Brain Tumor Research Center is a translational research program comprised of basic scientists, clinician investigators, and clinicians who conduct laboratory-based research, clinical outcomes studies, and prospective Phase 0/I/II/III clinical trials focusing on brain tumors. This position reports jointly to the BBTRC Director and the Executive Director for Research Administration, and works cooperatively with the Manager for Research Operations, the Manager for Clinical Research Operations, the Practice Manager for the BNI Department of Neurology, the BNI Program Director for Neuro-Oncology, the BNI Medical Director for Radiation Oncology, and BNI attending neurosurgeons and neuro-oncologists.

Qualifications

3 years experience in inpatient or outpatient clinical operations.

Familiarity with NIH and other governmental research funding mechanisms.

Preferred:

Oncology experience.

Experience in basic science operations.

Experience with clinical trials.

Experience with contract research organizations (CRO's).

Supervisory experience.

Education

Bachelor's degree required.

Master's degree preferred.

Superior knowledge of GCP, ICH, and FDA regulations. Strong communication skills (verbal and written) to effectively communicate complex information and processes to a variety of audiences. Proven attention to detail, with strong analytical, critical thinking, problem solving, time management, and customer service skills. Strong computer skills and the ability to utilize automated hospital billing and record systems. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively navigate a matrix organizational structure and effectively lead cross functional teams. Ability to work effectively with physicians, scientists, donors, and patients.

Pay Range

$36.96 - $53.60 /hour
