Description

Remote Medical Collections Specialists needed for national healthcare organization. As a Remote Medical Collections Specialist, you will play a crucial role in handling insurance collections for various hospitals and medical groups we are contracted with across the country. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process and review account adjustments, resolve balances, and manage the collection processes

• Handle all facets of patient/insurance billing and collections for assigned accounts

• Engage with insurance companies to verify coverage and seek resolution for outstanding claims

• Respond to patient inquiries concerning outstanding balances and resolve billing and insurance-related complaints

• Review reports for delinquent accounts and liaise with collections agencies as necessary

• Maintain strict confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA privacy and security guidelines

• Identify billing errors and file claim appeals

• Continuously update knowledge of insurer policies and healthcare regulations

• Ensure accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications

• Maintain accurate customer credit records.
