We are in need of a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. The role focuses on analyzing manufacturing operations, maintaining cost accounting systems, and performing life cycle cost-benefit analyses. You will also be expected to dive into inventory valuations and ensure the smooth running of our financial operations. This position provides a contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze manufacturing operations to optimize efficiency.

• Evaluate manufacturing equipment availability and utilization to ensure productivity.

• Handle the month-end cost accounting close, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Maintain the cost accounting system and cost ledger, ensuring they are up-to-date and reliable.

• Perform life cycle cost-benefit analysis to inform decision-making processes.

• Analyze inventory valuations to ensure they are accurate and reflect current market conditions.

• Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.

• Handle documentation with precision, maintaining a high level of detail in all records.

• Manage invoice processing and payment processing, ensuring all transactions are completed accurately and on time.

• Review and manage vendors, travel arrangements, and purchase orders as part of overall operations.

Requirements • Proficient in Customer Service, demonstrating excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

• Possess strong Documentation skills, ensuring accurate record-keeping and information management.

• Experience in Invoice and Payment Processing, demonstrating attention to detail and financial acumen.

• Capable of conducting thorough and accurate Reviews of financial statements and reports.

• Familiarity with About Time software for efficient time tracking and project management.

• Knowledge of Benefit Functions and Billing procedures within an organization.

• Experienced in managing Vendors and Calendar Management.

• Ability to handle Travel arrangements and process Purchase Orders.

• Committed to Process Improvement, demonstrating a proactive approach to enhancing operational efficiency.

• Knowledge of Specification and Time Sheets, demonstrating meticulousness and accuracy.

• Experience in managing Expense Accounts and maintaining Ledgers.

• Proficiency in Go programming language is a plus.

• Knowledge of Cost Accounting principles and practices.

• Willingness to work Overtime as needed.

• Excellent Explanation skills, demonstrating ability to clearly communicate complex financial information.

• Experience in Fieldwork within a manufacturing environment is a plus.

• Must possess at least a HS Diploma.

• Experience in Manufacturing Operation is desirable.

• Ability to Provide Quotes for services and products.
