Job Responsibilities
- Performs all product handling activities (i.e. stacking, counting, packaging, sealing, putting bags in trays or boxes).Assists as directed by Productions Supervisor/Manager for repackaging and reworking product.
- Performs visual inspection of product ensuring quality is acceptable.
- Keeps work area clean. Performs cleaning of assigned areas.
- Assists in training new employees.
- Provides suggestions to improve process, procedures, and department in support of company goals.
- Follows Company, GMP and Safety policies to ensure compliance.
- Follows food safety principles and legal requirements.
- Maintains a positive and constructive work environment within the department as well as with other departments and promotes teamwork.
- Works in a safe manner, observing all safety requirements.
- Able to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Able to work in all production areas (i.e., flour, corn, chips, masa and nixtamal).
- Other duties as assigned.
