Responsibilities

In collaboration with the supervising physician and other faculty, assumes clinical responsibility for tasks performed within PA scope of practice.

  • Provides diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients under supervision and responsibility of a physician.

  • Participates in education, development and growth of the clinic or department

  • Takes patient histories, performing physical examinations, performing appropriate procedures

  • Orders appropriate diagnostic tests, establishing diagnosis and provide care and management for common conditions.

  • May assist in the admission, transfer or discharge from the Health Care System.

  • Makes appropriate referrals to specialists and community agencies.

  • Participates in quality assurance and quality improvement programs.

  • Works within a multidisciplinary team to develop plans for the patient and ensure its execution.

Qualifications

MINIMUM

Background in pre-med. Degree as a Physician Assistant.

Must hold and maintain:

(1) AZ Regulatory Board of Physician Assistants License

(2) NCCPA - National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant

(3) Valid DEA registration

(4) American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support

(5) American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider.

Pay Range

$42.69 - $71.73/hour
