Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Medical Billing Specialist within the healthcare industry, based in Phoenix, Arizona. As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will primarily focus on performing billing operations and resolving dental claims.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently process dental claims, including printing and mailing

• Maintain and monitor patient accounts and execute necessary actions

• Accurately process customer credit applications

• Maintain precise customer credit records

• Handle accounts receivable operations and claim administration

• Perform appeals and benefit functions

• Utilize Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE), EHR SYSTEM, and Epaces in daily work

• Carry out billing functions in accordance with healthcare regulations and standards. Requirements • Proficiency in Allscripts, a critical software for healthcare management

• Familiarity with Cerner Technologies, a widely used health information system

• Proficiency in Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) for facilitating communication between software

• Experience with EHR SYSTEM, a digital version of a patient's paper chart

• Knowledge of Epaces, an electronic provider assisted claim entry system

• Ability to manage Accounts Receivable (AR), including tracking payments and ensuring timely collection

• Experience with appeals, particularly in the context of insurance claim denials

• Understanding of benefit functions within a healthcare setting, including insurance and employee benefits

• Knowledge of billing functions, including invoicing, payment processing, and insurance claim filing

• Experience with claim administration, including processing and managing insurance claims.
