POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for developing, executing, and promoting innovative practices that harness ideas, drive financial impact, and shape future service delivery for SQL/LSA and the industry. The role oversees the design, prioritization, and execution of innovations that have measurable effects on revenue, margin, consumer experience, and growth. It includes the development and leadership of a high-performing team that collaborates closely with cross-functional stakeholders and leaders to achieve results. The position also involves articulating and fostering an innovative culture, as well as overseeing the implementation plan for scaling innovative solutions across the company.

Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards.

CORE FUNCTIONS

  1. Leads and guides the team, ensuring their work is aligned with goals and standards, while providing constructive feedback and support.

  2. Fosters a culture of innovation by encouraging team members to explore novel ideas, collaborate cross-functionally, and take calculated risks to drive transformational change. Ensure that all projects align with the strategic vision of the organization and contribute positively to the financial and operational goals. Monitors progress and provides regular updates to stakeholders to maintain transparency and accountability.

  3. Prepares, reviews, and presents reports and recommendations to senior leadership regarding operations, programs, and services to provide clear and accurate information that supports informed decision-making.

  4. Manages and oversees financial operations in line with established goals, objectives, and project requirements. Plays a crucial role in ensuring the annual goals are met. Integrates financial impact assessments into process improvement initiatives, such as participating in process improvement projects aimed at enhancing financial performance and quality of care. Contributes to the department's budget creation to align with corporate goals and objectives, ensuring annual budget targets are achieved. Translates organizational strategies and initiatives into assumptions for annual operating and capital budgets.

  5. Develops and maintains a high level of job knowledge and expertise related to innovation management, emerging trends, and best practices. Coordinates ongoing education and professional development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills, knowledge, and competencies. Actively seeks out and participates in industry conferences, workshops, and training programs to stay current with advancements in the field and to bring new insights and strategies to the organization.

SCOPE AND COMPLEXITY

This position calls for a dynamic and versatile approach to managing relationships and ensuring seamless communication across all levels of the organization. The scope of this responsibility is broad and multifaceted, requiring an adeptness at navigating the complexities of a vibrant and ever-evolving professional environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENT FACTORS

This role demands extensive periods of sitting, interspersed with standing and walking. Occasionally, lifting items up to 20 pounds may be required. Significant usage of computers, telephones, and other standard office equipment is essential. Adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity are necessary. Protective clothing and standard precautions are mandatory due to potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids. Effective communication skills are crucial. Occasional off-site travel may be required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with changing needs and deadlines.

  • Strong abilities in financial analysis, data interpretation, computer software applications, Visio, MS Office suite and spreadsheet programs.

  • Excellent problem resolution, leadership and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to think strategically; and ability to collaborate within a cross functional environment.

  • Communication and presentation skills to engage technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to communicate and interact across facilities and at various levels.

  • Experience in supporting assessments, designing, and implementing innovative strategies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or healthcare-related discipline.

  • Five (5) years of change management experience in a healthcare organization.

  • Two (2) years of management/supervisory experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in business or healthcare-related discipline.

  • Background in healthcare services, especially driven solutions in complex delivery environments, is advantageous, but not required.

  • Additional related education and/or experience.
