DBM Global IT Procurement Specialist in Phoenix, Arizona

The IT Procurement Specialist plays a pivotal role in the strategic acquisition, tracking, and comprehensive reporting of the organization’s IT assets, encompassing both hardware and software. To excel in this capacity, the specialist is tasked with minimizing expenditures by eliminating superfluous investments in IT resources. This is achieved through diligent monitoring of asset utilization and intelligent negotiations with vendors and suppliers. A demonstrable history of enhancing and instituting innovative practices in asset management and procurement is essential for success in this role.

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage daily IT hardware/software request and issue Purchase Orders as needed.

  • Utilize tools and systems to communicate and collaborate effectively, while staying extremely organized.

  • Follow each order to ensure all items are received.

  • Obtain quotes, compare and negotiate pricing.

  • Track software and hardware assets and licensing.

  • Lifecycle planning of acquisition through disposition of IT assets.

  • Manage existing vendor partnerships to ensure products and services are provided with competitive pricing and in a timely manner.

  • Reduce costs by utilizing effective asset management practices.

  • Participate in the New-Hire process, ensuring new employees have the IT Assets required for their role

  • Support ad-hoc reporting needs.

  • Mediate supplier issues and resolve disputes.

  • Build new relationships with key Technology vendors and follows required sourcing policies and procedures.

    Work Experience

  • 3–5 Years’ experience

  • BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience

  • 3+ years experience in IT Procurement

  • Strong understanding of IT hardware, software, and services.

  • Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.

  • Proficient in procurement software and databases.

    Software & Technology

  • The position will require the frequent use and knowledge MS Windows 11, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook. Procurement Specialists should have experience with Hardware and Software Asset Management tools and applications.

    Work Environment

    The position requires as many hours needed to fulfill the daily and weekly obligations required to carry out the functions. This position is indoors in a climate-controlled office.
