WHAT YOU\'LL DO

Responsible for mentoring and leading the execution of the office\'s local engineering group. This position will support the Operations/Engineering Manager while serving as a change agent to help improve overall communication, project execution, and efficiency within Engineering.

Day-To-Day Responsibilities:

• Support the Regional Operations Director as an SME in CAD and escalation resource in coordination with local office Operations Management.
• Provide leadership and guidance to regional CAD team.
• Evaluate workloads, manage CAD request tools, and assist with adoption and implementation of company standards.
• Manage CAD partner relationships and manage the flow of work both internal and external.
• Share, teach and reinforce the use of AVI-SPL standard practice across the team.
• Coaches and motivates team members to successfully perform job requirements and to meet and exceed goals and objectives.
• Regularly communicate by using but not limited to, daily huddles with the engineering team to ensure consistency and to ensure timely and accurate completion of engineering tasks
• Lead the engineering team with a positive attitude that is in alignment with teamwork, mission, vision, and values of the organization
• Support leadership with establishing departmental goals, objectives and operating procedure
• Frequent spot checks of teams work to ensure accuracy and adherence to all company standards
• Lead lessons learned meetings as necessary
• Review pre-construction design and documentation, technical design, and pricing as needed
• Meet with vendors and prospective vendors to help evaluate products and be a customer liaison for engineering inquires and post sales project consultation
• Review project designs created by internal and external resources
• Review hour estimation for work based on needs analysis, scope of work and bid requirements
• Remain abreast of AV advances in the field and be able to identify areas of use in the organization
• Create and maintain technical documentation in accordance with company guidelines and translate customer requirements into functional system designs
• Contribute to improving process workflows and maintaining system administration, scheduling and resources for the department

Nice-To-Haves:

S, degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field is preferred

At least 10 years of AV experience is preferred

Experience with Enterprise VC solutions ( Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Bluejeans, Cisco Telepresence etc)-both hardware and software

AVIXIA CTS-D (Certified Technical Specialist-Design) is preferred

A minimum of 6 years of AV experience plus a four-year degree or military experience may be considered in p
