    GCU Traditional Campus - Phoenix, AZ:

  • Courses are in-person and on-campus for the Spring 2025 Semester (01/6/2025 - 04/27/2025)

    Course: Elements of Intercultural Communication

    This writing-intensive course focuses on improving communication among people with different racial, ethnic, cultural, and minority backgrounds. Students explore verbal and nonverbal communication behaviors in a variety of communication media and contexts. Communication styles, rituals, and traditions are explored through an examination of mass media, family structure, religion, politics, education, social life, art, and literature.

    What You Will Do:

  • Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions

  • Engage students in learning course objectives and topics

  • Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom

  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University

    What You Will Bring:

  • PhD in Communication OR

  • Anthropology OR

  • Linguistics

  • Exceptions may be granted to individuals with a Master’s in any field possessing either: 9 graduate credits in Intercultural Communication and has substantial teaching experience
