Job Description:
May manage or supervise a small group. Proactively monitor and remediate incoming data used in risk measurement and reporting. Ensure the completeness, validity, and accuracy of data on a daily basis. Work with business data users to define the use of data within risk systems. Work closely with technology to ensure the timely and accurate operation of risk models and reporting systems. Implement effective risk controls of our data processes and systems. Participate in user acceptance testing of data control processes. Work with other groups as needed, including Middle Office, Sales and Trading, Technology, Compliance, Operational Risk, and Enterprise Capital Management to ensure effective controls over data for GMRM.

Job Description:
Global Risk Analytics (GRA) and Enterprise Independent Testing (EIT) are sub-lines of business within Global Risk Management (GRM). Collectively, they are responsible for developing a consistent and coherent set of models, analytical tools, and tests for effective risk and capital measurement, management and reporting across Bank of America. GRA and EIT partner with the Lines of Business and Enterprise functions to ensure the capabilities it builds address both internal and regulatory requirements, and are responsive to the changing nature of portfolios, economic conditions, and emerging risks. In executing its activities, GRA and EIT drive innovation, process improvement and automation.
The EIT Data Connections Team works closely with Sample and Test Development, Test Owners and FLU Data Contacts to understand the objective of test and data requirements. Discussions are facilitated between the Application Managers and EIT Technology teams to identify the best source of data and establish systematic connections to enable test automation.
Role Overview:
The Data Connections Subject Matter Expert (SME) is responsible for establishing deep knowledge of data sources and business process to support the development of automated testing that provides timely, useful, and actionable independent insight on the operational health of Bank of America’s processes.
As a Data Connections SME, main responsibilities include:
• Partnering with key stakeholders to understand data needs and review test scripts and/or SQL code to understand the data required for automation.
• Facilitating discussions between Application Managers and EIT Technology Teams to understand data sources, data structure, flows and controls.
• Strive for operational excellence and become an effective advocate of process improvement opportunities to support the adoption of new applications.
• Establish systematic connections for test automation.
• Lead Data Quality and Data Automation projects and initiatives that impact cross-functional teams.
• Ensure adherence to SLA’s and Metrics associated with productivity, turn-around time, accuracy and process control.
Required Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degrees or above in fields including but not limited to: Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Process and Mechanical Engineering, Operations Research, Data Science, Accounting, Business Administration
• 5+ years of relevant work experience
