SUMMARY: This position at Galvanize is pivotal in ensuring smooth operations and a welcoming environment at the campus. The role involves managing the front desk during business hours, overseeing event logistics, maintaining

facilities, and supporting members and guests with their needs.

Responsibilities also include managing budgets, handling office supplies and mailroom organization, coordinating vendor relationships, and overseeing building maintenance and improvements. This position plays a key role in upholding Galvanize\'s mission and values by providing exceptional service and support to create an optimal working and learning environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.

  • Exemplify Galvanize mission & values as primary point of contact for all guests & members.
  • Manage front desk coverage during business hours (Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm).
  • Greet event attendees and direct them to their meeting location
  • Control food and beverage budget for member experience and cost management.
  • Assist in logistics of Galvanize events, including room bookings and guest check-ins.
  • Maintain an organized mailroom, manage office supplies inventory.
  • Support overall campus operations and upkeep.
  • Help with dishwashing, snack stocking, and coffee preparation.
  • Respond promptly to member and guest needs, escalating issues to Sales Manager.
  • Conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly maintenance audits; address issues.
  • Manage vendor relationships, ensure timely payments with accounting.
  • Coordinate member onboarding needs with Sales Manager (suite configuration, IT, AV).
  • Oversee building improvements and system upgrades, including repairs and contractors.
  • Foster partnerships and maintain relationships.
  • Perform other assigned duties.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent AND
  • 2+ years experience in the hospitality or customer service industry.

Certificates and Licenses: None required.

OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of community development.
  • Social media experience preferred
  • Ability to think on your feet to creatively problem solve.
  • Proven communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • High sense of awareness and personal responsibility.
  • Comfort and ease in interacting with new people daily.
  • Eagerness to grow within Galvanize.
  • Must be able to lift boxes up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to pass required background check

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience in the startup space is a plus.
  • Experience with Vendor and Facility management
  • Desire to occasionally take on stretch projects outside daily responsibilities.

This is an office-based position. The noise level in the office is usually moderate (computers, printers, light foot traffic).

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Stride, Inc. considers a person\'s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position\'s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee\'s salary level. Salaries will dif er based on these factors, the position\'s level and expected contribution, and the employee\'s benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.

We anticipate this position will pay between \$13.35 - \$25.08 per hour. Eligible employees may receive a bonus. This salary is not guaranteed, as an individual\'s compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions.
