Job Title: CNC Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our day and night time crews. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and have experience operating CNC machinery. This role is crucial for ensuring precision and quality in the production of components, utilizing advanced technology and techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC machines, ensuring they run efficiently and produce high-quality parts.

  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine machining operations.

  • Utilize precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances of finished products.

  • Conduct routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.

  • Operate additional equipment such as press brake machines as needed.

  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

  • Perform materials handling tasks, including loading and unloading materials from machines.

  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience as a CNC Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex machinery.

  • Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles.

  • Proficient in basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks.

  • Experience with tooling setups and adjustments is preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Forklift operation experience.

  • Experience with carbon steel plate material, plasma tables, press brakes, plate rollers, and pipe profilers.

  • 1+ years of experience operating CNC, plate roller, press brake, and plasma table.

Work Environment

The work environment is a large indoor pipe fabrication shop that is dusty and loud, with lots of equipment and materials inside. There is 1 opening on the 1st shift (Monday - Friday, some Saturdays) and 2 openings on the 2nd shift (3:30 pm - 2 am, Monday afternoon - Saturday morning). The work week ranges from 40-60 hours.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, Arizona.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
