The Clinical Administrative Coordinator (CAC) is a multi - faceted role within Optum Health Risk Operations that encompasses different levels of administrative support. The Clinical Administrative Coordinator serves as a bridge, allowing for a seamless transition for members and providers moving through the continuum of care.
This position is full time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime or weekends.
We offer 2 weeks of orientation and 90 days of continuous paid training. The hours during training will be aligned with your schedule or will be discussed on your first day of employment. Training will be conducted virtually from your home.

Primary Responsibilities:
Research claims for SNIF’s & inpatient cases
Identify and correct issues with the claims
Work in collaboration with internal partners to find a resolution to any issues within the claim
Demonstrate product knowledge by identifying the appropriate letter template based on the services and action within the case
Consistently meet established productivity, adherence, and quality standards
Other duties as assigned by manager and / or director

Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
Must be 18 years of age OR older
1+ years of professional experience in an office / customer service environment
Computer experience including, but not limited to, ability to learn new computer system applications
Experience in working with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook (ability to create, edit, save and send documents, spreadsheets, and emails)
Ability to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM from Monday - Friday. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with working within a Hospital, Physician's Office, OR Medical Clinical setting, Medical Terminology, ICD - 10 and CPT codes, Medicare and / OR Medicaid Services, Call Center environment
Professional experience in a Clerical OR Administrative support related role
Previous experience in working with Authorization process for claims
Previous experience with working in a virtual environment
Telecommuting Requirements:
Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
