Job Title: Cart Technician Sr.

Job Description

As a Cart Technician Sr., your primary responsibility will be the repair and maintenance of various types of material handling equipment such as build stands, transport carts, manual gearboxes, Creform workstations, and parts carts. These carts, numbering over 1000, hold engine parts and other aerospace components and require regular attention. Your duties will include repairing and tightening carts using hand tools, wrenches, and power tools, building or repairing racking made of metal or plastic tubing, and replacing wheels. You will also be responsible for creating PO's and submitting orders for carts that need to be repainted or powder coated, organizing and maintaining the test cells, ordering supplies from the tool crib, calling in work orders, and completing necessary paperwork.

Hard Skills

  • Mechanical assembly, tear down, rebuild and repair

  • Ability to read from work instructions or blueprints

  • Proficiency in using hand tools, wrenches, and power tools

  • Creating PO's and submitting orders

  • Ordering supplies

  • Calling in work orders

  • Paperwork completion

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Comfortable with a physically demanding role involving a lot of walking and standing

  • Willingness to work in non-AC'ed areas

  • Comfortable working in a shop environment that may be dirty

Job Type

This is a contract position with a duration of 4 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in NA, Arizona.

Work Environment

Your work schedule will be from 6AM to 2:30PM, with the possibility to shift to 5AM to 1:30PM if preferred. There is plenty of overtime available, particularly on Saturdays. The role will involve spending 90% of your day walking or standing and requires comfort with working in areas without air conditioning. The shop environment can be dirty, and parts of the job will involve getting your hands dirty.
