Boilermaker/Pipefitter - Phoenix, Arizona (Job Number: 546118)

We are seeking experienced Boilermaker/Pipefitter to work in our Project located at Phoenix, AZ. For more information, please email jcandiani@pcl.com.

As Boilermaker/Pipefitter , you will contribute to our team by:

• Basic layout for all craft related work to include grading. Basic blueprint plans and specification.

• Assist in advanced layout.

• Build and erect forms for heavy civil projects (e.g. Segments, coffer dams, false work/access platforms, barrier walls, etc.)

• Set and handle wood and metal forms for footings, walls, columns and caps of any height.

• Erect temporary walkways and ramps.

• Install rebar for slabs and wall construction.

• Fasten to forms metal and plastic form liners.

• Install wood and metal shoring and piling, including high work associated with same.

• Work related to height, such as edge forms on elevated platforms.

• Basic rigging knowledge.

• General knowledge of the use of power tools.

• Planning work to utilize optimize material use and avoid waste.

What you will bring to this role :

• A good knowledge of the methods, practices, tools, machines, equipment, and metals, alloys, and other materials used in joining fitting, cutting, bending and threading all types of pipe.

• A working knowledge of the effects of pressure, temperature, and other factors on pipe systems and of the methods and practices used in obtaining satisfactory performance under various conditions.

• The ability to set up and use rigging required to lift, move, and install piping, pumps, valves, and other integral parts of pipe systems.

• Knowledge of the construction, functions, and operating principles of valves and fittings used in industrial pipe systems.

• Working knowledge of the hazards and applicable safety precautions required.

• Ability to organize and prioritize work.
