Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a ALLIED TRADES WORKER T32, Position Description Number PDD1220000 and is part of the AZ CSMS, National Guard. Responsibilities This position is located in Phoenix, AZ at the CSMS. The primary purpose of this position is to assist higher graded workers in performing work in the skilled trades' occupations in support of maintenance functions. Engages in joint operations with higher graded workers. Rotates through trades areas to gain experience. THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Military Grades: Enlisted: PFC/E3 - SGM/CSM/E9 Warrant: WOC - WO1/W01 Compatible Military Assignments: Must possess or be able to qualify for one of the following MOS: 12, 88, 91, 92, or 94 series GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience or training which demonstrates knowledge of equipment to be able to do routine jobs, simple preventative maintenance tasks, and can use common tools and equipment in the line of work. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess 12 months experience or training using common hand and power tools, devices to cut, fit, join, or fabricate parts, prep surfaces for paint, or paint, and a small variety of test and measurement devices to make mechanical repairs. Experience removing, adjusting, replacing, cleaning, and installing a variety of parts, components, and accessories. Experience which demonstrates a basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic theory applying to vehicles; and skill to replace, fit, install, and make adjustments. Experience operating various welding equipment to include wire welders, torches, stick welders, and plasma cutters to perform minor welding tasks. Experience demonstrating an understanding of the makeup and operation of the various individual systems maintained and their interrelationships. Experience reading and interpreting parts lists, manufactures' repair manuals, diagrams, electrical schematics, drawings, and electrical blueprints. Experience in mobile equipment body components such as fenders, panels, hooks, and truck beds to knock out dents and creases. Experience with applying coating materials with brushes, rollers, or spray guns. Experience in simple fabrications using machinist, welding, woodworking, body work, and painting skills. Education You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your Educational claims. To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
