HVAC Service Technician (State College)
Pay Rate: $25-$35/HR + Benefits + Company Vehicle
Job Description | Responsibilities
Provide maintenance and repairs on residential and light commercial heating and air conditioning systems according to company standards, and providing the customer with a high-quality experience. As a Service Technician, you must demonstrate the ability to work independently to properly diagnose and repair malfunctioning HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose a wide range of residential and light commercial equipment, and present repair and replacement options to customers.
• Complete service repairs as approved by the customer.
• Understand and utilize flat rate and quote majority of repairs without assistance.
• Complete and submit all paperwork in a neat, accurate, thorough, and timely manner.
• Order parts when applicable.
• Participate in the on-call rotation.
• Comply with company and industry safety standards, and all company policies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Hard Skills
Advanced knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment, and accessories
Advanced knowledge of tools of the trade
Ability to use thermometers, pressure gauges, and other testing devices to evaluate HVAC systems
Good technology skills (iPad, dispatch software, etc.)
Soft Skills
Ability to both follow and give instructions
Excellent communication skills (required to interact with customers)
Job Type
This is a permanent position.
Work Site
This position offers a company vehicle that you will operate with throughout the surrounding State College areas.
