WOOD GROUP USA INC Senior Electrical Designer in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for facility-level electrical design for low-voltage systems (480V and below) including power distribution, lighting, lighting controls, fire alarm, and special systems using the National Electrical Code (NEC), governing building codes, and industry standards.
- Participating in the design effort on large and small projects.
- Develop electrical construction drawings (i.e. lighting plans, power plans, special systems plans, fire alarm system plans, details, single lines/riser diagrams, and panel schedules).
- Coordinate design requirements with other discipline engineers/designers and architects.
- Assure that drawings and designs are in accordance with company design and production standards.

QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Electrical Design focused on building systems.
- Working knowledge of the NEC and NFPA Standards
- Proficient in AutoCAD and REVIT.
- Proficient with MS Excel, MS Word, and Bluebeam.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Capability with lighting design software (AGi32, Visual, or ElumTools) is a plus.
- Experience in Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Life Science, and Laboratory industries is a plus.
