Summary: The Division of Gastroenterology in the Temple University Lewis Katz School of Medicine is seeking a highly motivated individual to assist with ongoing research projects involving gastrointestinal motility, gastrointestinal transit and gastroparesis. In this capacity, this person will work closely with the principal investigator on projects which will involve assessing gastrointestinal motility such as gastric emptying scintigraphy, liquid nutrient drink testing, electrogastrography, and pyloric impedance planimetry.  The incumbent should be energetic, and willing to work with others on a variety of projects. Responsibilities include patient recruitment, screening, obtaining informed consent, and enrolling research subjects in clinical trials, scheduling study visits, coordinating and performing research-related tests, data collection, data entry and regulatory submissions (IRB).  This position will play a critical part in the success of the clinical trials and must be able to work independently and within a team. Required Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in a science or healthcare related field and 2 years of directly related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Required Skills & Abilities: *  Strong knowledge of computer programs, and computer spreadsheets & data analysis. *  Excellent written and oral communications skills *  Able to resolve problems/issues *  Detail oriented *  Knowledge of medical terminology *  Flexible in an ever changing environment *  Proficient in standard computer programs (Microsoft word, excel, powerpoint, etc.) *  Conduct oneself in a professional and courteous manner This position requires a background check.
