University of Pennsylvania Research Assistant Professor in Pathology & Laboratory Medicine at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure research track. Expertise is required in the specific area of statistical and computational genomics. Applicants must have an M.D. and/or Ph.D degree.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include performing statistical and computational research, training graduate students or postdoctoral fellows, writing manuscripts and giving scholarly presentation.

We are interested in candidates who creatively develop and apply statistical and computational approaches to drive biological discoveries and medical innovations, using large-scale data (e.g. genetic, multi-omic, EHR) and harnessing cutting-edge technologies (e.g. single-cell, spatial, imaging, artificial intelligence). Candidates working on biobank-scale informatics by integrating omic and clinical data across large-scale population cohorts are particularly welcome to apply.
