Defense Logistics Agency Project Integrator in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Responsibilities Serves as a Senior Project Manager in the Medical Directorate, with responsibility for management of Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support, Wholesale (DMLSS-W) projects. Takes measures to ensure downstream DMLSS Retail systems can accommodate current data exchanges, as well as business enhancements. Ensures that deliverables are completed within project costs and meet the quality for acceptance by the customer. Briefs enhancements and new development projects to top management officials within DLA/DoD. Responsible for ensuring that proposed changes in assigned DMLSS AIS projects are thoroughly coordinated throughout the Medical Supply Chain Network from Wholesale suppliers to the Retail customers. Coordinates with Defense Medical Logistics Enterprise personnel in developing metrics designed to optimize customer support related to eCommerce operations. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications To qualify for a Project Integrator, your resume and supporting documentation must support: A Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade, time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: - Comprehensive functional knowledge and understanding of the business area to provide effective team leadership over assigned major enhancement and new development projects. - Knowledge of and demonstrated ability to manage advanced software development projects and apply project management technique. - Ability to influence project team members, other project managers, customers and upper management to adopt proposed solutions to problems. - Knowledge in the industry best practices of metrics data collection and reporting to include cost and size estimation used to analyze impacts to the project plans to project resource utilization and workload changes for multiple concurrent projects. - Knowledge of state-of-the-art software development methodologies and documentation standards. - Knowledge of and demonstrated ability in organizing and managing state-of-the- art software development environments. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
