Job Summary A position is available for a post-doctoral fellow to join a biomedical research laboratory focused on the development of vaccines against parasitic diseases. Essential Functions A position is available for a post-doctoral fellow to join a biomedical research laboratory focused on the development of vaccines against parasitic diseases. The position requires a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Microbiology and/or Immunology with experience evaluating infection-induced or vaccine-induced immune responses in animal models and/or human subjects. The post-doctoral fellow will be primarily involved with studies to evaluate and optimize mRNA/LNP vaccines targeting promising vaccine candidates of the human malaria parasite, Plasmodium falciparum. This will include evaluation of vaccine-induced antibody and T cell responses in both wild-type and targeted gene knockout mouse models. The post-doctoral fellow will work as part of a collaborative team of both senior and junior research investigators. Publications describing completed research projects are expected. Excellent written and oral presentation skills, organizational skills, and record keeping skills are required. Required Qualifications Minimum of a PhD or a Doctorate in Microbiology and/or Immunology. Minimum of a year of experience in related field. Physical Requirements Typically sitting at a desk/table. Typically standing, walking. Location Queen lane Campus, Philadelphia, PA Additional Information This position is classified as an exempt grade I. Compensation for this grade ranges from $ 41,120.00 to $61,680.00 per year. Please note that the offered rate for this position typically aligns with the minimum to midrange of this grade, but it can vary based on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
