How You Will Contribute
The Member Records Specialist is responsible for processing gifts for the Advancement Department with timeliness and accuracy, as well as coordinating membership fulfillment material and mailings to support the department.
Specifically, you will:
Administrative Support 20%
Generate acknowledgement letters and cards and prepare mailings
Initiate receipting process and generate receipts
Assist with other administrative tasks as assigned
General Support 80%
Ensure that all membership and annual fund gifts are recorded into the Raiser’s Edge database
Reconcile batches in Raiser’s Edge and prepare batches for daily deposit
Communicate with Advancement Operations and various key department employees to ensure accurate processing of gifts and for financial integrity and accuracy
Extract lists for mailing and emailing as part of the monthly renewal/acquisition process
Locate and correct data entry errors
Perform other related duties as assigned
Your background and experience include:
Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge, gift processing, and Siriusware ticket database
Superior data entry speed, accuracy, and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet manner
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and oral and written communication skills
Position and Compensation Details
The hourly rate for this position is $20.87.
This position is Full-Time, Non-Exempt, and 35 hours per week.
This position is part of the AFSCME Local 397 bargaining unit.
This position reports to the Director of Advancement Operations.
Able to remain stationary for extended periods of time, to utilize computers and other office equipment required of this job, to perform physically administrative duties in a typical interior office environment, gallery, or exhibit space, and to access most public and staff areas of the museum campus.
