Immediately hiring a Maintenance Technician in Philadelphia, PA

We're hiring a Maintenance Technician for a Premier Food Manufacturing plant in the Philadelphia, PA area.

This is a contract to hire opportunity and were hiring immediately. In this role you will play a vital part in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our production equipment. You will work closely with our production team to minimize downtime, enhance equipment realialbilty and maintain the highest standards of quality and safety.

1st shift (6am-2:30pm or 7am-3pm) (Morning)

2nd shift (1:30pm-10pm) (Afternoon)

$27.00-30.00

Job Description

This individual will report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor. This position organizes and facilitates maintenance on all production and facility equipment with emphasis on equipment uptime and resolving quality and production issues. This individual will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting mechanical systems, mainly conveyors and ovens, throughout a food manufacturing plant. Duties include handling electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical troubleshooting, as well as bending conduit, start-stop circuits, photo eyes, current draw, and metal fabrication.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot mechanical systems, including conveyors and ovens.

  • Handle electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical troubleshooting.

  • Bend conduit, manage start-stop circuits, photo eyes, and current draw.

  • Perform metal fabrication tasks.

  • Respond to calls from Machine Operators to provide guidance on safe and proper machine operation.

  • Work on various machines such as vertical and horizontal batch mixers, large industrial ovens, spiral cooling towers, and 3-phase motors (480V).

  • Maintain packaging machinery including conveyors and horizontal flow wrapping machines (Fuji Wrappers).

Work Environment

Work in a food industry manufacturing plant with a machine shop and approximately 250 employees on site. The work environment can be noisy and involves working indoors and outdoors in wet, humid, cold, or hot conditions, and around machinery.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
