Plaintiff Litigation Paralegal (3-5+ Years) - Center City, Philadelphia, PA
We are in search of a Litigation Paralegal to join our well-respected law firm client located in Center City, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As a Litigation Paralegal in our organization, your primary role will be to manage multiple projects and cases, ensuring all legal documentation and procedures are accurately completed and filed. You will be working in a highly collaborative environment, where your ability to adapt to changing priorities and maintain flexibility will be essential. This role requires significant interaction with our clients, hence an excellent communication and customer service mindset is crucial.
Responsibilities:
• Efficiently manage document management procedures including e-filing in Philadelphia and surrounding counties.
• Prepare and process legal documents such as complaints, motions, and subpoenas.
• Maintain accurate records of billable hours.
• Conduct thorough eDiscovery and research of public records, focusing on liens/claims.
• Manage and respond to objections, preparing motions and navigating through the discovery process.
• Ensure effective communication with clients, providing solutions to day-to-day problems.
• Work collaboratively within a team structure as well as independently.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of court rules and procedures, specifically in Philadelphia, Chester, Montgomery, and Delaware Counties, and New Jersey.
• Provide hands-on experience in construction litigation.
• Ensure all filings and pleadings comply with Philadelphia court practice and Montgomery County regulations.
Requirements
• Possession of Litigation Paralegal skills is mandatory
• Experience in Construction
• Proficiency in Billing, particularly Legal Billing is essential
• Ability to handle Subpoenas and Complaints
• Experience with Personal Injury Plaintiffs, Personal Injury Litigation, and Personal Injury Law
• Knowledge of Construction Defect is needed
• Must be able to Draft Legal Documents efficiently
• Experience with e-File and e-Filing systems is required
• Proficiency in Court Filing and understanding of Civil Court procedures
• Familiarity with Court Filings, Court Rules, and the workings of various Courts such as State, District, and Municipal Courts
• Previous experience as a Paralegal
