General Job Description: This is wage enforcement work in the Labor Standards Unit of the Department of Labor. Employees in this class are responsible for monitoring and reviewing certified payrolls and ensuring proper wage determinations are applied in the wage compliance specialty. Employees in the Diversity Compliance specialty monitor and review minority participation to ensure diversity of workforce to meet specified goals. Enforcing the Davis-Bacon Act, Department of Labor and Industry standards, and City of Philadelphia Prevailing Wage among employers is significant to the work.

ANTICIPATED ELIGIBILITY Candidates who meet all eligibility requirements within three months of the application deadline (by September 10, 2024) will be admitted to this examination. Successful candidates will be placed on the eligible list but may not be hired or promoted until all requirements have been satisfied.

The Requirements are as follows:

1. EDUCATION:

 

Education is equivalent to completion of the twelfth school grade.

AND

2.EXPERIENCE:

 

Three years of administrative experience in an advocacy, legal, or social service agency.

OR

Three years of inspectional experience which has involved eliciting information from the public.
