Job Description

The IT Director, PMO - Enterprise Core Platforms and Application is responsible for:

  • Planning and coordinating projects

  • Managing stakeholders

  • Handling risk management

  • Overseeing financial management

  • Monitoring performance

  • Ensuring effective communication and reporting

  • Managing changes

  • Monitoring execution

  • Aligning goals to meet strategic objectives

This role is for someone who thrives in innovation, automation, continuous improvement, and a passion for making our service experiences better in each Aramark account. The incumbent must be consumer- and operator-focused at the account level, data-driven, and must possess a strong bias for action to deliver results to win and retain Aramark accounts.

This technology leader will work directly with stakeholders throughout business and technology teams to understand areas of opportunity, development, and implement IT processes that will delight consumers and operators with best-in-class experiences where technology is in the background and simply works.

Job Responsibilities

The IT Director of the PMO is tasked with planning and coordinating projects to ensure they align with the organization's strategic objectives. This involves developing comprehensive plans, setting timelines, and ensuring that all projects are well-organized and on track. Effective coordination among various teams and departments is crucial for the smooth execution of projects.

Stakeholder management is another key responsibility, involving the identification and engagement of all relevant stakeholders. The IT Director must maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders, manage their expectations, and ensure their needs are addressed throughout the project lifecycle. This ensures that everyone involved is informed and aligned with the project goals.

Risk management and financial oversight are critical components of the role. The IT Director is responsible for identifying potential risks, developing mitigation strategies, and monitoring these risks throughout the project. Additionally, they must manage the project budget, track financial performance, and ensure cost control to prevent budget overruns and ensure financial compliance.

Performance monitoring, communication, and change management are essential for the successful execution of projects. The IT Director must establish performance metrics, regularly assess project progress, and report on these metrics to stakeholders. Effective change management ensures that any changes to the project scope, schedule, or resources are properly assessed and communicated. By monitoring execution and aligning project goals with strategic objectives, the IT Director ensures that projects deliver the intended value to the organization.

Qualifications

  • Experience ? 7 to 10+ years of experience in a formal Information Technology role or relevant experience in working with technology solutions or strategy in a hospitality business, 5+ years of Project/Program Management experience

  • Communication ? Ability to present and interface with both business and technical functions within a large complex organization. Success influencing across a large, complex, highly matrixed product organization.

  • Knowledge ? Understand IT Service Management as it relates to process improvements, reporting, compliance, product management, and development methodologies

Education

Bachelors preferred
