General Job Description:

This is public health administrative work either directing a health center providing categorical services or serving a neighborhood within a health district, acting as an assistant director of a large health district, or directing a specialized phase of limited scope of a major city-wide health services program. 

 

The Requirements are as follows:

ANTICIPATED ELIGIBILITY Candidates who meet all eligibility requirements within three months of the application deadline (by 7/26/2024) will be admitted to this examination. Successful candidates will be placed on the eligible list but may not be hired or promoted until all requirements have been satisfied.

GENERAL SPECIALTY: 1. EDUCATION:

Possession of a master's degree from an accredited college or university in public administration, industrial management or engineering, business administration, hospital administration, public health, or a master's degree in political science with major concentration in public administration.

AND 2. GENERAL EXPERIENCE:

One year of public health administrative experience in a large, complex personal health services agency.

AND

3. SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE:

One year of public health administrative or supervisory experience in a large complex personal health services agency assisting in the administration of a health services center.
