Sodexo Senior Living is seeking two Food Operations Managers 1 for Simpson House, an upscale continuing care retirement community located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania . This Food Operations Manager will oversee dining operations serving approximately 250 Independent living, assisted living and personal care residents. Dining operations include one fine dining room and bistro for independent living, one personal care and one assisted living dining room. This Food Operations Manager will oversee front of house operations and do roundings in the kitchen, safety compliance for cafe, and will fill in for General Manager in their absence. Will manage a staff of 40 union employees. Typical shift will vary between 6:00am - 4:00pm or 10:00am - 7:00pm with every other weekend coverage.

Are you the experienced food service manager we’re seeking?

• have prior fine dining experience;

• deliver high quality food service;

• develop and maintain client and customer relationships;

The ideal candidate:

• has excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working with seniors and managing people and the dining operation to make every day a better day for our clients and residents ;

• has prior food retail, fine dining and catering experience;

• has the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;

• can demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and

• is proficient in computer skills and report management experience.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degreeor equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience - 2 years

Basic Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
