Job Description:

We are seeking talented engineers at varying levels (Engineer I, II, and III) to support critical naval engineering projects. This role includes 3D modeling, drafting, testing, and technical support to enhance the functionality and efficiency of Navy systems and equipment. Engineers will work closely with teams to provide innovative solutions for installation, testing, and maintenance of critical ship systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide engineering drafting and three-dimensional (3D) modeling graphics support.

  • Utilize Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) tools to create mechanical drawings and 3D prints for installation and analysis purposes.

  • Provide engineering and technical support services in support of U.S. Navy HM&E systems, subsystems, equipment, and components.

  • Design, Installation, and Testing support of HM&E Systems.

  • Engineering support for the equipment life cycle.

  • Provide test facility support to build/refresh and test HM&E systems and equipment.

  • Perform equipment qualification testing (EQT) by developing, updating, and reviewing test procedures, witnessing tests, and reviewing test reports and waiver/deviation documentation.

  • Provide engineering and technical support for ship modernization programs.

  • Conduct Engineering surveys and drawing reviews to determine if system/equipment upgrades are required and feasible.

  • Provide engineering in support of the obsolescence program to include design, testing, and evaluating components for proper fit, function, and operation.

  • Review and analyze drawings to support material requirements and test plan/procedure development.

Required Experience:

Engineer I:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.

  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in engineering, including work with Navy Ship Steam and Auxiliary systems (mechanical system design, repair, installation, modification, operation, maintenance, and testing).

Engineer II:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in any engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.

  • Experience: At least 3 years of professional engineering experience, with a focus on Navy Ship Steam and Auxiliary systems (mechanical system design, repair, installation, modification, operation, maintenance, and testing).

Engineer III:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in any engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.

  • Experience: At least 10 years of professional engineering experience, including 7 years focused on Navy Ship Steam and Auxiliary systems.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Proficiency in engineering drafting and 3D modeling tools.

  • Strong understanding of Navy ship systems, including Steam Systems, Fluid Systems, pumps, heat exchangers, air conditioning, refrigeration, high- and low-pressure air systems.

  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems.

  • Ability to support and execute technical testing and develop detailed reports.

  • Team-oriented with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Ability to read and interpret ship installation drawings, installation specifications and NAVSEA Standard Items is a must.

  • Must have or have the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.

  • Travel may be required within and outside of the continental United States.
