Job Description
Aramark is seeking a Director of Inclusive Practices for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) responsible for embedding our DEI enterprise-wide strategic priorities into our U.S. and international HR and business strategies. This position is accountable for leveraging relationships with applicable Centers of Excellence to enhance and design existing and future DEI imperatives that support Aramark?s overall people and business priorities. Key to this role is serving as a subject matter expert, internal business consultant, and thought leader complementing the role of the VP of DEI.
As a direct report to the VP, Diversity Equity & Inclusion, the Director of Inclusive Practices is accountable for working with multiple lines of business, corporate functional teams, and directly with our HR analytics team to implement strategies that embed inclusive practices into all that we do, especially our overall workforce planning from recruitment through the employee life cycle.
This role will also establish the annual priorities for our DEI training offerings and measure the impact of existing Employee Resource Group (ERG) mentorship, professional development offerings, and annual strategy submissions. In partnership with our operations, field marketing and hospitality enablement teams the director will oversee the administration of our guest promotions policy focused on inclusive practices associated with heritage, cultural, and religious celebrations at client locations. This leader will establish the strategy for all DEI communications/internal and external as well as manage the platforms appropriately updating our messaging. This leader must initiate and cultivate relationships with field operations, corporate communications, community relations, sustainability, supplier diversity, talent acquisition, and our US and International HR teams providing consultation and assistance in advancing inclusive practices in the talent cycle, specifically recruitment, development, and retention.
Job Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
? Establishes annual DEI priorities, assesses the business impact of our work, drives prioritization and efficient delegation across the team.
? Partners with the VP of DEI as liaison to Aramark?s Executive Diversity Council and supports the development of quarterly reporting to the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors.
? Enhances, in partnership with talent acquisition (recruitment and sourcing), existing practices focused on increasing inclusive representation across senior leadership, pipeline development, and early career roles and internship programs.
? Leads the administration of our employee resource groups driving alignment with our strategic priorities as well as manages our managing meaningful partnerships with our clients, external stakeholders, and, benchmarking/professional associations that we sponsor.
? Leads the administration of our DEI champions across the U.S., partnering with our peer HR leaders to implement our DEI priorities across local and regional markets.
? Enhances our existing efforts specific to broader dimensions of diversity such as: Veterans, People with Disabilities, Native American/Indigenous, and the LGBTQ+ community, managing our self-ID campaign, and applicable external partnerships.
? Partners with our international peer HR team to align DEI imperatives across the regions/countries.
? Leads the review process associated with Aramark?s Guest Promotions Policy focused on both risk mitigation and business enablement ensuring that planned promotions and menus are inclusive and culturally competent and partners with applicable teams highlighting the inclusiveness of our culinarian community and authenticity of our recipes.
? Manages, in partnership with the DEI coordinator, our customer intake process measuring our business impact, tracking volume, and prioritizing all internal requests against our DEI priorities. Conducts and/or delegates appropriately to team members or DEI champions workshops, seminars, and requests for client presentations on DEI topics.
? Aligns with HR leaders to establish annual inclusive workplace action plans influenced by engagement survey results, exit interview themes, and workforce data trends.
? Works with our legal department to update policies and guidelines that provide guidance specific to inclusive workplace practices.
? Leads the creation of DEI content for investor relations, partners with responsible sourcing, sustainability and the community relations teams to inform annual ESG reporting and client inquiries.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in human resource management, business administration or related field; DEIB certification preferred.
? Minimum of seven (7) years of responsibility leading/supporting inclusion, diversity, and equity strategy and initiatives
? Three (3) years management experience required
? Design/implementation experience concerning complimentary U.S. and international DEI strategies.
? Experience in working with peer HR analytics analyzing and interpreting data and translating analyses into recommendations in support of DEI strategies.
? Experience developing successful partnerships, creating and implementing new programs and managing multiple projects concurrently
? Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written
? Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Power Point and Excel
