Robert Half Desktop Support Analyst in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Description

We are offering a unique opportunity for a Desktop Support Analyst based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This role will primarily involve providing both phone and in-person support to our clients, working in a diverse range of environments, which may include labs and medical settings. This is a contract to hire employment opportunity, where you'll be expected to bring your technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and problem-solving abilities to our team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service while dealing with end user issues, maintaining professionalism even with difficult users

• Troubleshoot various desktop issues, using your skills in areas such as basic troubleshooting and computer hardware

• Keep up to date with the latest Windows 10 and Windows 11 systems, as well as Apple Macintosh, to effectively handle related problems

• Collaborate with vendors and other team members to improve security enhancements and implement new projects

• Assist in setting up printers and managing calendar access for users

• Handle technical issues related to scientific-based equipment and devices in lab environments

• Use remote tools like splash top and Apple remote desktop to assist users

• Be involved in tasks such as encrypting computers for IS security

• Work with JAMF Pro and other systems for efficient troubleshooting and problem resolution.

Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Desktop Support Analyst or similar role

• Proficiency in basic troubleshooting of computer hardware and software

• Experience with Jamf Pro, MS Windows 10, Windows 11, and Apple Macintosh systems

• Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with users to resolve technical issues

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively

• Familiarity with the principles of IT service management and the ability to apply them in a work setting

• A commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with advancements in relevant technology and software

• Willingness to participate in rotational on-call duties for after-hours IT support
