We’re seeking a Controller who will oversee all aspects of financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting, strict adherence to compliance standards, and the timely completion of all fiscal responsibilities—all while upholding the highest level of financial stewardship and integrity. Responsibilities:
Handle financial statement preparation on a monthly basis
Conduct account reconciliations, including bank, investment, and PayPal accounts
Oversee credit card reconciliation processes
Keep track of fixed assets and payroll allocations
Manage loan amortization tracking and prepaid schedules
Supervise vendor management, process and code bills, and execute approved payment disbursements
Ensure timely completion of compliance requirements, including Form 990 filing coordination and PA Charity registration renewal
Coordinate annual financial statement audit process and maintain audit support documentation
Attend and provide support for Board of Directors meetings, prepare financial schedules for board calls
Develop and maintain annual budgets and reforecasts, and conduct financial analysis as needed.
Requirements
The ideal Controller candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree with Accounting or Finance Concentration
Other requirements for the Controller position include and are not limited to:
5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in nonprofit sector
Advanced proficiency in Quickbooks Online and Microsoft Excel
Experience with bill.com and PayPal preferred
Strong understanding of GAAP and nonprofit accounting principles
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
