Job Summary:

The Collateral Data Support Team (CDST) Analyst performs work of an analytical, professional, and technical nature to support the Federal Reserve System's Securities Data Management Services (SDMS). The analyst supports the team's data quality and vendor management programs including participating in the evaluation of data acquisitions, performing daily data management tasks including on call operational support outside of standard business hours, addressing data challenges, and interacting with external vendors to resolve data quality issues. Individuals in this role participate on and may lead both system related and departmental projects including the testing, implementation, and maintenance of large databases and applications to ensure they meet current and future business needs.

The following job descriptions details the requirements for a CDST Senior Analyst. Applicants with less experience or education may be considered for the CDST Analyst position.

What You Will Do: Perform moderately complex daily data management tasks and time sensitive data analytics and data challenge requests to support the FRS's policies and practices for various business lines including CRM's Discount Window and Payments System Risk. Occasionally support on call operations outside of standard business hours such as vendor data file processing Apply knowledge and judgment for analyzing and interpreting moderately complex big data sets to reach conclusions and recommendations regarding data quality. Apply process management skills to support operational improvements in the unit. Participate or lead implementation and maintenance of large databases and applications to ensure they meet current and future needs of FRS business lines. Interact with external vendors to resolve data quality issues and support the team's vendor management program. Fulfills job duties and responsibilities in conformance with sound safety practices. Demonstrates effective SRC Core Competency skills for grade and position.

What You Have:

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in finance related field, business administration, information management or equivalent related work experience and education is required. Minimum 2 years' experience (5 years for Sr Analyst) in data analytics, banking, or finance-related field is required. Advanced degree in data analytics, information management, or finance strongly preferred.

Knowledge and Skills: Foundational knowledge of operations and solid understanding of internal controls. Familiarity with application of risk management principles. Effective written and oral communications skills. With some coaching, able to present findings and assessments both orally and in writing to Bank and financial institution management. Demonstrates analytical, research, and problem-solving skills; Ability to conduct low to moderately complex analysis with statistical programming packages (i.e. Python, SAS, STATA, SQL); able to identify patterns among facts, data or events. Recognizes cause-effect relationships and is able organize information in a manner that effectively communicates findings and recommendations. Ability to identify efficient process workflows. Effective team player with the ability to lead a team and use skills of influence to accomplish stated goals. Draws on experience to resolve complex issues and displays strong interpersonal skills in dealing with peers. Intermediate skills using desktop software for word processing, spreadsheets, data analysis, data visualization and presentations (i.e. MS Office Suite Products, Tableau). Capable of creating visual presentations of data.

The salary grade for this position is: 13/14. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant's background, experience, and skills, and internal equity and alignment with market data.
