1.    Summary of Position:  (Brief description of overall responsibilities and function)

Undertake the design, development and qualification of aircraft Systems, completions and modifications, coordinating tasks with other sectors of the Company. Applying systems engineering expertise to develop optimum design solutions that satisfy the customer whilst retaining commercial viability

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Conducts specification reviews, development program timelines and reports, design reviews, specifications, design documents, wiring diagrams, user guides, work instructions, test plans, test procedures and technical reports.

2. Liaison with internal and external customers and suppliers to assist in defining specifications and system architecture.

3. Liaison with Civil Authorities to ensure certification requirements are met.

4. Responding to engineering issues affecting aircraft operation and support, including in-service.

5. Identifying improvements to new installations that will improve customer satisfaction and address issues.

6. Participates in project teams and all activities related to the development of new completions and modifications.

7. Take responsibility for the qualification/certification of new systems or modification.

8. Support to the Bid phase producing designs preparing systems trade studies, identifying costs and impacts.

9. Interface with the customer on all aspects of the system design and verification

10. Preparation of Project Plans for Hanger Aircraft and supporting aircraft tests planning and Plan updates

11. Support to Hanger fault investigations

  1. *Qualifications for Position: *

*         A. Education: Ideal BS in Electrical Engineering or similar*

*         B. Experience* Minimum of 6+years of experience design and development and testing of integrated or non integrated systems for aerospace use

*         C. Competencies & Attributes*

  1. Experience in design, repair and analysis of electrical systems Solid understanding of electronic circuit technology (analog and digital)

2. Plans, organizes and controls his/her activities to ensure on-time delivery and the quality of their output.

3. Working knowledge of FAA regulations Part 27 and 29.

4. Strong written, PC, and oral communication skills. 

5. Ability to liaise with others to meet deadlines

6. Ability to work in a team environment Good interpersonal skills, team player, enthusiastic, sense of humor

7. Able to work with a high d gree of personal autonomy

8. Knowledge of Italian a plus.

 

D. Licensure/Certification

Electrical Designated Engineering Representative (DER) highly desired
