Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide in-home support for patients who require assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of those in need. As a Mobile/Home-Based Personal Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by delivering personalized and compassionate care in the comfort of their own homes. Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the overall well-being of the patient.
- Administer medications according to prescribed schedules.
Home Visits:
- Travel to patients' homes to deliver personalized care services.
- Follow a schedule of home visits to ensure timely and consistent care.
- Observe and report any changes in the patient's condition to the supervising healthcare professional.
Transportation:
- Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to and from patients' homes.
- Safely transport patients to medical appointments, errands, and other necessary destinations.
Communication:
- Maintain open and clear communication with patients, their families, and healthcare providers.
- Document care activities and observations accurately in patient records.
Safety and Hygiene:
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients by following infection control and safety guidelines.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a comfortable living space.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation.
- Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant or similar role is preferred.
- Certification in CPR and basic first aid. (Preferred)
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow care plans and work independently.
