EXPERIENCED MATERIAL HANDLER NEEDED ASAP- 2ND AND 3RD SHIFT ONLY- STARTING PAY $20/HR- GREAT BENEFITS

Description:

• Candidates will start by training for a month doing general clean-up, learning color codes for steel, placement in warehouse and training on the crane. Candidates must come from heavy industrial environments, construction or similar environment as the inside and outside are large stacks of steel beams. Very heavy industrial; hard hat, dirty, and substantial amounts of walking.

• As a large distributor for steel beams. it is very unlike a standard warehouse with consumer products; candidates will be required to walk for 8-10 hour shifts; eventually learning to load flat bed trucks but initially receiving inventory, moving materials to the loaders via overhead crane etc., filling out shipping reports and bills of lading and documenting all outgoing loads eventually learning to not only rig and move steel but load flat beds and train cars.

• Candidates will be required to jump off and on trailers for loading, must adhere to all safety rules (not walking in between stacks and always being visible to other associates)

• It's a very physically demanding position from that standpoint, and must not be afraid of the large product and very physical work. Nothing is lifted by hand as it's all steel beams minus a few large metal plates they have; however the physical requirements are a full 8 hours of walking at a decent clip to get orders out.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Heavy industrial experience or construction experience is required. Candidates must be able to read a tape measure. -Must be able to lift up to 50lbs, (although most is reaching, stooping, squatting etc.) Must be able to operate equipment effectively

• Candidates should have Industrial Forklift and Overhead crane experience
