The Environmental Account Manager role will focus on clients to manage and evolve our Environmental business partnership, through the identification of areas we’re well positioned to add value to their projects as well as growing the revenue together. The role will ensure clients feel they are well supported, and we are an innovative and progressive leader in the Civil and Environmental segment, and we are a company to partner with for the future. The role will champion company growth, account growth, solution-selling, retention, selling and striving to exceed set key performance indicator (KPI) targets, that help us identify how we are doing.

"The pay range for this position is from $72k-$78k per year salary with additional bonus potential up to $15k, contingent upon relevant education, experience, and industry-specific certifications. This specified range is determined by the tier associated with the job posting. However, should the employee by classified under a different tier, the compensation may fall outside the stated range.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Recognize new business opportunities and proactively follow up on leads and take action as appropriate.

  • Provide and coordinate well rounded technical, domain and commercial knowledge.

  • Contribute to the big picture for the company and region by developing our brand in the segment and contributing accounts and sales to the growth of the region.

  • Ensure full understanding of pricing and service agreements.

  • Communicate with various levels of leadership within client accounts to thoroughly analyze and understand customers’ needs and objectives in order to successfully determine the appropriate services.

  • Drive business growth and development and account management of existing or new client accounts, including developing new business opportunities and managing to close opportunities and account manage key client accounts.

  • Proactively help manage current and potential client relationships, understanding and communicating the full business technical relationship to ensure client satisfaction.

  • Understand service upgrades and show clients how to maximize the value of our services and therefore return on their investment.

  • Analyze client issues and confidently ask appropriate questions and work to find a prompt win-win solution.

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Construction Management, Building Science, or a degree related to these fields.

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a supervision or management role, ideally within the desired domain (Civil & Environmental).

  • Ability to account manage key client accounts, engage at technical, operational and business level dialogues, with a strong emphasis on domain and technical credibility.

  • Detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow through on projects.

  • Exceptional customer service, communication skills and cultural awareness, both in working with internal teams and potential clients.

  • Collaborative, flexible and self-motivated to handle a variety of situations.

  • Domain expertise in market, technology, roles, language, sales cycles and trends in the Civil domain.

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, including a demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders.

WHAT WOULD BE AMAZING TO HAVE:

  • Substantial amount of background in the Electric Transmission Construction, Pipeline, Utility field.

  • Prior experience in ground investigation, environmental geology, civil or environmental engineering consultancy or related industry.

  • Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) book knowledge.

  • Previous construction crew oversight experience.

  • GIS Experience.

  • Strong knowledge ANSI Z133 safety standards.

  • Having a military background is a plus.

Working Environment

Work alone in an outdoor field environment; vehicle and foot patrol of utility power lines; remote locations as well as urban, city environment; physical demands and travel from site to site, including walking/hiking on various surfaces including flat, dry, wet, slippery, uneven, rough, steep terrain, hills, and slopes; exposure to noise, dust, grease, and all types of weather and temperature conditions; exposure to hazardous traffic conditions. Physical

The team member must have sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in a field environment; to walk up to 10 miles per day, stand, sit, and operate a motor vehicle for prolonged periods of time; to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, run, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp and make repetitive hand, arm and shoulder movement in the performance of daily duties (e.g., forcefully beat down brush); carry, push and/or pull light to heavy amounts of weight, frequently lift up to 10 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 60 lbs. (sandbags); to operate assigned equipment and vehicles; ability to verbally communicate to exchange information with public; ability to see and hear in normal range with or without correction; operate assigned field equipment, including handheld computer, range finder, fyrake, water backpack, shovel, and traffic cone.
