Adecco Staffing is partnering with a manufacturing company in Peterborough, NH to hire Grind Floor Machine Operators! This is a temp-to-hire or direct-hire opportunity, depending on your level of experience. The position offers competitive pay rates and the opportunity to join a growing company that manufactures precision components used in aircraft engines, aircraft structures, and defense equipment for the U.S. Military.

Shifts Available:

• 1st Shift: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm (Five 8-hour days)

• 2nd Shift: 3:30 pm – 2:00 am (Four 10-hour days)

• Note: 2nd shift will move to Five 8-hour days at the end of 2024

• 3rd Shift: 11:30 pm – 7:00 am (Five 8-hour days)

Base rate is $18-$20 an hour. There is a 15% Shift Differential offered for 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Job Responsibilities:

As a Grind Floor Machine Operator, your day-to-day will include:

• Producing high-quality parts based on order priorities

• Performing machine set-ups and ensuring smooth operation

• Loading materials and changing tooling and attachments as needed

• Troubleshooting and resolving operating difficulties

• Maintaining accurate paperwork for production and machine usage

• Performing mathematical calculations for machine setup and materials

• Following all safety rules and regulations in the workplace

• Operating a variety of machines, including centerless grinders, external/internal grinders, face lap and face grind machines, bore and OD hone machines, and other related equipment

Required Skills & Experience:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Previous manufacturing experience and familiarity with machinery (preferred)

• 3+ years of experience as a machinist (for experienced candidates)

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team

• Ability to diagnose machine problems and provide recommendations for solutions

• Experience with or ability to easily learn to use specialized tools

• Basic math skills and understanding of the metric system

• Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 40 lbs.

Pay Details: $18.00 to $23.00 per hour
