Job Title: Business Analyst
Salary: £38,000 - £48,000 (Depending on Experience)
Location : Peterborough

25 days annual leave,

Contributory pension scheme - Caterpillar will double the employee's contribution Up to 10%

Job Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Sales & Marketing Business Resources team, based at our Peterborough facility. As a Business Analyst, you will support the financial planning & analysis processes through data analytics, financial reporting and business partnering. Working with teams across Finance, Sales & Commercial, you will provide valuable insights and regular report-outs to assist business decisions.
What You Will Do:
Maintaining financial records in accordance with GAAP and organizational standards.
Creating reports on financial performance and providing insightful analysis for internal and external use.
Support business analysis, process improvements and take part in special projects and ad hoc requests.
Own specific processes (e.g. sales price realisation) for regular data analysis and reporting to support cross-functional business partners
What You Have:
Degree or equivalent experience desired
Accuracy and Attention to Detail : Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
Top candidates will also have
Knowledge of accounting methods, processes, and tools; ability to maintain and prepare financial statements and reports using accounting methods and processes.
Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
Experience of processes, methods, and tools of financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports.
Experience and demonstrated capabilities in the use of analytics tool (e.g. Alteryx, PowerBI)
Additional Information:
We operate a hybrid working week consisting of three days in the office and two from home.
