Process Technician (PI/PE OTR ETO Specialist)

Execute Product Industrialization/Process Engineering (PI/PE) related OTR construction coordination, preparation, Experimental Tyre Order (ETO) component processing, trial, evaluation, measurement and verification at OTR shopfloor in Continental Tyre Petaling Jaya plant. Perform basic preparation and construction observation, troubleshooting, fine-tuning and data compilation to assist PI experts. Responsible for OTR, ETO on daily/shiftly cold preparation to tire building process and requirement.

1. Production / Quality / Efficiency Improvements:

▪ Supports root cause analysis activities in Scrap VI, CTDE, tire weight, wheel test, yield and audits.

▪ Verify equipment, Tooling & Process requirements are aligned and suitable for achieving product requirements and specifications.

▪ Provide feedback to process expert on product allocation & cycle optimization opportunities

▪ Execute corrective actions as instructed by process experts on process related & CI activities related to scrap, rework, tire weight, cured tire dimension and yield.

2. Plans / Strategy / Projects:

▪ Provides feedback on corrective & Contingency Plans for achieving stable and capable processes to experts

▪ Support LEAN manufacturing principle implementation

▪ Advice to CBT1 team regarding processes

▪ Supports new or alternative raw materials/compound/products/processes/construction on time for ETO to production with consideration for the manufacturing process, quality and cost aspects

▪ Provides feedback on evaluation of Release Notes (RN) for new or alternative raw material/compound/process/construction

3. Agreements/Reports / Documentation:

▪ Process Performance - supports report KPI's i.e. Process Excellence and Process Sustainability Audits

▪ Provides feedback on archived records, reports, surveys & justifications related to process trials and assessments

▪ Assists PI experts on maintain workplace specifications

▪ Regularly reporting of results of current testing and planning of further activities

4. Process Excellence:

▪ Implement and maintain capable, efficient and stable production processes that satisfy the Process Excellence objectives.

▪ Supports process experts on Process stability and reduction process variation activities

▪ Implemetation of process improvement as instructed by process expert

▪ Supports Process Excellence related activities as aligned with process experts

5. ETO/PTO/SAT/SOP:

▪ Assisting the feasibility and research activity on new process/equipment evaluation for bias construction

▪ Ensuring the introduction and industrialisation activity on new process/equipment fulfill all minimum/customer requirement

▪ Ensuring the continuous improvement activity on new/existing process/equipment fulfill all minimum/customer requirement

minimum Diploma (Mechanical/Chemical/Polymer/Rubber/Applied Science/Process Manufacturing) holder

1 year experience in manufacturing / heavy industry environment preferably in tire/rubber/polymer/automotive sectors as an added advantage.
