  • The position will play a key role in driving the optimization of Sanofi's sales force activities and performance. This position is responsible for managing, analyzing, and enhancing the effectiveness of the sales force through data-driven insights, process improvements, and the development of tools and training that improve sales productivity. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of pharmaceutical sales processes, data analysis, and performance metrics. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and analytics, to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives.

Main responsibilities:

  • Data Analytics & Reporting: Analyze sales performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges. Provide actionable insights to the sales leadership team to drive performance improvements.

  • KPI Tracking: Develop, implement, and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the sales team, including sales growth, market share, customer engagement, and call activity.

  • Forecasting & Performance Dashboards: Maintain sales forecasting models and dashboards that provide real-time insights into sales activities and outcomes, enabling timely adjustments to strategies.

  • Territory Optimization: Collaborate with sales leadership to optimize sales territories and coverage models to maximize market penetration and sales potential.

  • Sales Force Design & Role Definition: Assist in designing the structure of the sales team, defining roles, responsibilities, and quotas, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market dynamics.

  • Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in sales processes and recommend and implement solutions to streamline operations, increase productivity, and improve the customer experience.

  • CRM Management: Oversee the use of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, ensuring that the sales force is fully utilizing tools for tracking, reporting, and engagement.

  • Sales Enablement Tools: Ensure that the sales team has access to the latest sales enablement tools, content, and resources, ensuring they are being utilized effectively.

  • Technology Integration: Work with IT and other stakeholders to integrate new sales technologies or tools that enhance sales force effectiveness.

  • Sales and Marketing Alignment: Collaborate with marketing to ensure alignment between sales strategies and marketing campaigns, ensuring that sales reps are equipped with the right messaging, materials, and support.

  • Collaboration with Analytics: Work closely with the analytics team to ensure sales data is accurate, complete, and actionable. Utilize data to inform sales strategies and decisions.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Regularly communicate with senior leadership, product managers, and other departments to ensure sales objectives are aligned with the overall corporate strategy.

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, Marketing, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA or MS) is a plus.

  • 5+ years of experience in sales operations, sales force effectiveness, or a related role in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.

  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical sales processes, including market access, sales force management, and key account management.

  • Experience in sales performance analysis, CRM systems, and sales enablement tools.

  • Proven track record of driving sales force optimization and effectiveness.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong proficiency in data analysis and ability to draw insights from complex data sets. Familiarity with sales performance metrics and reporting tools (e.g., Salesforce, Power BI, Excel).

  • Project Management: Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data and insights in a clear, actionable format.

  • Leadership: Ability to work cross-functionally and influence key stakeholders without direct authority.

  • Problem Solving: Ability to think critically and proactively identify issues and solutions to improve sales performance.

  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with pharmaceutical market dynamics, regulatory considerations, and industry-specific challenges.
