Peru Central School 1.0 FTE Spcial Education Teacher in Peru, New York
The District expects to appoint individuals to the following positions for the 2024 - 2025 school year: 1.0 FTE Special Education Teacher - Two (2) Anticipated Vacancies Anticipated Assignment: -8:1:1 Classroom, Middle School assignment, currently -12:1 Classroom, Middle School assignment, currently Responsibilities May Include: -Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences - Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities - Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities -Identify and select different instructional resources and methods to meet students' varying needs - Use relevant technology to support instruction - Assign and grade class work, homework, tests and assignments -Provide appropriate feedback on work -Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development -Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by law, district policies and school regulations -Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures -Participate in department, school and parent meetings -Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues and parents regarding student progress and student needs -Keep updated with developments in subject area, teaching resources and methods and make relevant changes to instructional plans and activities - Other duties per contract Compensation: -$52,278 - $99,352 - Commensurate with qualifications and experience Individuals interested in this posting should hold appropriate licenses/certifications.
