Job Overview:

Works with the Project Manager and Project Controls Manager to manage the project planning activities. To ensure timely and accurate preparation and maintenance of schedules and progress reports for all aspects of work including engineering, procurement, fabrication, and installation. This includes the development and maintenance of project master schedules, milestone schedules and interface schedules, also interfacing with client PMT members and sub-contractors

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Leads development and integration of detailed project plans and schedules at required levels, covering the EPCI phases ie engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, hook-up and commissioning

  • Reviews work scope with Functional Groups to ensure full scope inclusion in schedule and define logic, interfaces and interdependencies between activities

  • Ensures methods are in place to measure, report and monitor project progress against plan with periodic presentation of report analysis to PMT and Client

  • Provide schedule analysis and timely identify potential delays and establish mitigating measures and corrective actions

  • Provide schedule scenarios to mitigate risk due to potential delays or for cost saving purpose

  • Provides input to various reports generated for Clients as well as internal management reviews

  • Ensures subcontractor’s scheduling, planning and progress measurement systems and procedures are in place, valid and effective

  • Works closely with Cost Control Team to establish the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)

  • Provides input to support progress or milestone invoicing purposes as applicable

  • Work with Cost Control to manage the identification of change to schedule with assessment and incorporation of change impacts and consequential analysis

  • Ensures that all input to the project plan is accurate and consistent with the logic network

  • Manage any required development of planning related methods and procedures, ensuring compliance with company and client requirements

  • Leads team of project planners, ie engineering and fabrication planner and provide direction and guidance to the Planning team as required

Essential Qualifications and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience

  • Minimum experience of 5 years within the Oil & Gas Industry

  • Specific experience of SURF developments would be an advantage

  • Must have working experience with Primavera P6 and MS Office software (including MS Project)

  • Experience of Milestone Professional Software and Power BI would be an advantage
