The Role

Are you an experienced HR professional who is passionate about partnering with the business to deliver on its vision and purpose? Do you thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative environment where no two days are the same? Do you have a strong HR generalist skill set and a customer-focused approach? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our HR team as a HR Business Partner.

As a HR Business Partner, reporting to the General Manager People & Capability, you will provide strategic, advisory, and operational support to leaders and employees throughout the employment life cycle. You will build strong stakeholder relationships with people leaders in your portfolio, earning a reputation for being a trusted advisor and business partner. You will work with leaders to ensure all HR policies and processes are understood and followed, engaging stakeholders to drive effective people management techniques, strategies, and decisions. You will also provide relevant HR data and analytics to leaders to support and inform decision making.

Some of your key accountabilities:

• Supporting your portfolio in the delivery of annual people cycle activities, such as performance and development, remuneration reviews, talent and succession, and engagement.

• Collaborating with people leaders and talent acquisition to support the recruitment and selection process, including job design, position descriptions, and attraction strategies.

• Coaching leaders in the development of workforce plans, and structures to support delivery of the strategy. Providing commercially effective, data driven people solutions to meet organisational needs.

• Coaching leaders in the delivery of a consistent approach to performance management.

• Managing and leading investigations, ensuring matters are dealt with in a fair and timely manner

• Collaborating with key stakeholders across the business to identify and manage people impacts and changes effectively.

• Leading or supporting the delivery of HR deliverables in conjunction with internal and external stakeholders, such as WGEA reporting, salary survey submissions, engagement survey management, policy and procedure reviews and updates

What will you bring?

With a practical, pragmatic and improvement focus, your passion for people inspires those around you. You will have exceptional people and relationship management skills, underpinned by your ability to build trust and influence across a diverse range of stakeholders. You can demonstrate:

• Minimum 5 years of business partnering experience.

• Understanding of human resources practices and legislative requirements, industrial instruments and frameworks across Australia and (preferably) New Zealand.

• Strong HR generalist skill set, including workforce planning, attraction and selection, retention and engagement, remuneration and benefits, coaching and mentoring, performance management, organisational design and change management.

• Strategic thinking, planning and analysis skills, with the ability to create inventive solutions to improve work performance, handle change and foster a positive, safe and inclusive culture.

• Ability to deal with ambiguity and complexity, along with strong problem-solving skills across the employee life cycle.

• Ability to build relationships, influence and coach a wide range of stakeholders in an effective way.

• A tertiary level qualification in HR or a related discipline.
