Robert Half Payroll Clerk in Perrysburg, Ohio

Description We are seeking a Payroll Clerk to join our team in the construction and contracting industry, based in PERRYSBURG, Ohio. The chosen candidate will be responsible for processing weekly payrolls for multiple companies, maintaining and updating employee records, and collaborating with Project Managers to resolve any timesheet issues.

Responsibilities:

• Process weekly payrolls for multiple companies, both union and non-union.

• Set up new employees and unions in Foundation Software as needed.

• Enter and review daily timesheets, including mobile timesheets.

• Enter, process, and review per diems.

• Proof and review data before posting, including dates, hours, rates, and names.

• Collaborate with Project Managers to resolve any timesheet issues.

• Submit payroll to bank for direct deposits and process paper checks as needed.

• Calculate and pay payroll taxes weekly.

• Update employee maintenance and unions in Foundation Software as necessary.

• Assist with processing payroll taxes and monthly union reports.

• Process and submit weekly Certified Payroll Reports.

• Maintain a system for copying and filing weekly timesheets.

The role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity. The ideal candidate will have skills in Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, Ceridian, IBM AS/400, Kronos Timekeeping System, About Time, Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Benefit Functions, and Check Processing. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential for managing financial records and transactions.

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is required for efficient payroll processing and management.

• Knowledge of Ceridian software is necessary for effective payroll and human resources management.

• Familiarity with IBM AS/400 system for managing business operations.

• Proficiency with Kronos Timekeeping System for accurate employee time tracking.

• Experience with About Time software for efficient mobile time tracking.

• Solid understanding of Accounting Functions for maintaining financial records.

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) to manage company's financial obligations.

• Knowledge of Benefit Functions to manage employee benefits and compensation.

• Proficiency in Check Processing to handle payments and financial transactions.
